Low Income Housing Tax Credits & Renewable Energy in Nevada, 2016

Nevada's 2016 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) includes points for renewable energy.

Nevada's 2016 QAP awards up to eight points for the installation of renewable energy sources (e.g., photovoltaics, wind power). Projects that offset the total estimated electricity demand by 5% are eligible for 4 points; 5-10% are eligible for 6 points; 10-15% are eligible for 8 points.

Application must contain a report by an electrical engineer detailing the project's projected energy demand and a plan for installing enough renewable energy to produce the energy offset required.
