Low-Income Housing Tax Credits & Cost Containment in Ohio, 2017-2018

Ohio’s 2018-19 QAP awards points for projects that keep their development costs low.

For projects competing in the preservation pool, OHFA will award up to ten points to proposed developments based on the HTCs requested per affordable unit. This will be calculated by dividing the total credit amount requested by the total number of affordable units.

  • 10 points if seeking $11,000 credits per affordable unit or less
  • 9 points if seeking $11,001 - $13,000 credits per affordable unit
  • 8 points if seeking $13,001 - $15,000 credits per affordable unit
  • 7 points if seeking $15,001+ credits per affordable unit
