Florida's Proximity to Transit Incentives

Florida Housing Finance Corporation’s 2014 Qualified Allocation Plan targeted one project located within a SunRail Station Transit Oriented Development area. This was removed from the 2015 QAP but FHFC’s RFA 2014-104 for the preservation of existing affordable housing developments (found here) includes a sophisticated set of criteria that allow applicants to score proximity points.

There are minimum proximity point requirements for applicants to be eligible for funding based on proximity to transit and community services, public bus rapid transit stops, public rail stations, as well as types of community services and in-service time frames and distances.
